To celebrate the release of the film A Street Cat Named Bob in cinemas this week (November 4), MedicAnimal has teamed up with Wood Green Animal Charity to spread the word about the number of animals needing new homes.
Based on the No.1 bestseller, the story tells how one man – busker James Bowen – and his cat found hope on the streets of London.
Pet lovers will get a chance to save their own ‘bob or two’ as online retailer MedicAnimal will be placing tickets inside every order it sends out, with four lucky people receiving a ginger ticket. This ginger ticket entitles the owner to prizes such as a weekend in London and tickets to private screenings of the film.
Andrew Bucher, chief veterinary officer at MedicAnimal, said: “We are delighted to have this opportunity to partner with Wood Green, which allows us to get further involved in encouraging the rehoming of pets. Bob is one of the lucky ones but there is still a constant demand for loving families to rehome a kitten or cat. We are also pleased to announce that we will be donating 5% of all of our UK profit during the Save a Bob or Two campaign to Wood Green so that they can carry on the exceptional work that they do.”
James and Bob’s tales of unconditional friendship offers an insight into the hardships of both homeless people and animals.
